The LA 2000 provides a true zero footprint solution.

The LA 2000 is designed with the operator in mind. With up to 50 input trays the system allows for extended operation with a minimum of operator attention. The high speed pick and place gantry uses 2 suction cups to pick parts from the input JEDEC tray then moves the devices to the vision alignment station. At the alignment station, the devices are oriented and the handler receives additional position information for accurate placement in the test socket. Rejects are automatically forwarded to the JEDEC tray reject station.

The vision system is also used to teach the machine the accurate location of each test site. The placement is referenced on the leads of the device and the contactors at the test socket. The LA 2000 has a placement accuracy of .001"
